Saturday, February 18th, 2012

If you’re a rapper or singer who buys beats for sale then you’re probably creating an album. That’s a great and ambitious project and goal. It’s best to have an action plan in place before you start your promotion, and in some cases even your recording. Once you have an idea of what you want to do with the album you can begin your recording and production by buying beats for sale. Once you’re finished the recording phase, be sure to return to your plan to stay on track. Plans, especially in the music game, rarely tend to go off without a hitch. But the key is to try and adapt as you need to so you can find success in music. When planniing out a release think about different ways you’ll produce, promote and sell your music. Once you have an idea of this, it puts things into perspective and helps lead to success.

If you are anything like me, then you are a music junkie. We browse the same sites and blogs probably, always cruising for that next groove, that next tour or festival that is going to leave you breathless in awe of the power that is music. One of the most annoying things about music, however, is the price of concert tickets! I enjoy supporting my favorite bands as much as the next fan but I am definitely not made of money! I like to go to a lot of shows and all of that fun can really add up to being almost too expensive. There are a bunch of sites out there that can give you great deals on tickets but sometimes a show is just going to be absurdly expensive and we just have to deal with it unfortunately. I wish I could find a place for discount tickets!

This Week’s French Film Reviews

Monday, January 30th, 2012

Displaying an open-minded approach to the world of pornography, prostitution and other related transgressors in the sex industry, French director Bernardo Bonello’s latest film House of Tolerance or(House of Pleasures in the US) adopts an empathetic perspective towards the high-class fin-de-siècle Parisian brothels. He depicts the ugly truths of the wealthy male customers who treat these sex workers badly, thrusting both violence and illness upon these unfortunate women.

Similarly to other French film reviews, this film brings the dark side to light with a gloomy, macabre tone prevalent throughout the piece and contains plenty of bloody scenes from the very beginning of the film. Playing on the main character Madeleine’s stream of consciousness, this film also features dream sequences containing sexual fantasies and memories amidst the pornographic scenes. This portrayal might be viewed as somewhat of a misogynistic one by Bonello, however some might say it is a very realistic depiction of an early 20th century Parisian brothel.

New Hit That Battles with Rihanna and Others

Thursday, December 29th, 2011

Float - night club in New York, NY, best dance club and nightlife in ...If you haven’t taken the time to listen to “Delilah – Love You So” I will highly recommend that you do. This young artist has a voice like the late Amy Winehouse with such a soothing vocal quality but her genre tilts towards the work of Rihanna. I wouldn’t be suprised if this song is taken by mixing disc jockeys accross the world and turned into one of the next best dance club tunes. It already has a trance like style that would pull people onto the dance floor. Also, the video really shows what kind of artist this young lady is going to be. She is definitely artistic like Lady Gaga with alluring qualities that only Madonna had herself. The video has vintage footage that doesn’t immediately sync up with the songs up beat feel, but makes you think about the meaning which is really kind of beautiful. This is definitely not the last of what we’ll see from Delilah.
